About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and empathetic User Adoption & Experience Leader for Applications to drive user adoption, training, enablement, and user experience for SAP S/4HANA and related enterprise applications, ensuring users are proficient, productive, and successful in their day-to-day work. This role focuses on the people, process, technology, and data aspects of adoption, ensuring that users are not only equipped but also motivated to embrace new tools as part of their daily workflows. Software applications will be configured and implemented using a fit-to-standard and fit-to-suite approach.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with people, the user experience, and user-centric training. The role will work closely with stakeholders across business units to ensure seamless onboarding, training, communications and sustained engagement with the employees— leveraging a combination of WalkMe, SAP Joule, SharePoint-based knowledge management, Microsoft Copilot, enterprise search, training programs, and support channels to deliver a seamless user experience. Primary focus will start supporting the implementation of SAP S/4 Cloud and SAP Business Suite tools. Experience in manufacturing or process industry environments, where adoption impacts standard business process cycles, shop floor workspace, supply chain collaboration, and compliance workflows is highly desirable.

globe. The information technology environment supporting our new company is being built
from the ground up in terms of IT infrastructure and applications with the opportunity to
leverage new technologies and new ways of thinking as we look to end a transition services
agreement associated with the acquisition as soon as possible. Our Enterprise Resource
Planning (ERP) landscape is comprised of multiple instances across the globe. We seek to
consolidate and simplify our ERP landscape to drive efficiency and effectiveness in our
operations for decades ahead.

Key Responsibilities
- User Adoption Strategy
- Develop and execute comprehensive adoption plans aligned with business goals and user needs.
- Identify user personas and tailor onboarding experiences accordingly.
- Establish and manage champion and super-user networks across functions and locations.
- Develop, measure, and monitor adoption metrics and continuously optimize strategies to drive engagement.
- User Experience Design
- Map user journeys and identify friction points.
- Design intuitive and contextual user support experiences leveraging a combination of SAP Joule, WalkMe, Microsoft Copilot, knowledge articles, training resources, support channels, and digital adoption tools.
- Gather user feedback and iterate on experience improvements.
- Knowledge Management & AI Enablement
- Design and maintain information architecture, taxonomy, metadata, and business process topology supporting SAP Joule grounding, Microsoft Copilot, enterprise search, and future AI-enabled capabilities.
- Ensure business process documentation, work instructions, training materials, testing materials, FAQs, and support procedures are maintained in approved SharePoint repositories.
- Ensure enterprise content is current, governed, and optimized for AI grounding and self-service support experiences.
- Training & Learning Enablement
- Develop and execute a training and learning strategy supporting users before, during, and after deployment.
- Partner with business functions, champions, and super-users to reinforce learning and adoption.
- Ensure training approaches effectively support all functions including but not limited to manufacturing, supply chain, commercial, and back office users.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive user enablement strategy leveraging instructor-led training, virtual training, self-paced learning, WalkMe guidance, SAP Joule assistance, practice environments, testing participation, Microsoft Teams sessions, and refresher training.
- Coordinate hands-on practice sessions, business simulations, and user testing activities to build confidence and proficiency before deployment.
- Develop KPIs and measure training effectiveness, user proficiency, and knowledge retention.
- User Support Experience
- Partner with deployment, business, and vendor teams to align training, communications, user support, and adoption activities with deployment milestones.
- Define and coordinate the end-user support experience across all phases of the SAP Activate Methodology including time to practice.
- Establish user support channels including SAP Joule, WalkMe, Microsoft Teams support rooms, champion networks, office hours, FAQs, knowledge articles, and IT Help Desk resources.
- Ensure users know where and how to obtain assistance before, during, and after deployment.
- Partner with Application Support, Hypercare, and IT Help Desk teams, so they are prepared to ensure users receive timely and effective support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Human-Centered Design, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of experience in software implementation, user adoption, and/or user training.
- Proven success in driving adoption of off-the-shelf software solutions.
- Experience with digital adoption platforms such as SAP WalkMe and others.
- Ability to quickly build a strong understanding of business processes and data flows.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Empathy-driven approach to user engagement and support.
- Experience in chemical or manufacturing industries with multi-language environments, supply chain, or shop floor adoption challenges.
- Experience implementing digital adoption, training, knowledge management, or AI-enabled user support solutions such as SAP WalkMe, SAP Joule, Microsoft Copilot, SAP Enable Now, learning platforms, or enterprise knowledge management tools.
- Experience in enterprise application environments (e.g., SAP).
- Practical application using user experience (UX) design principles and tools.
- Analytical mindset with experience in user behavior analytics.
- Exposure to Scientific Management principles to include time and motion studies.
- Potential 20% travel time required.
- Due to the team structure, virtual meeting formats, time zone differences, and appropriate meeting times, extended work hours may be required
