Position Summary
The Fabrication Supervisor leads a fabrication team to build tooling for the fiberglass industry.  This leader’s team will maintain a safe work environment, produce quality products, operate efficiently, and deliver customer value. This leader establishes clear standards and develops team capabilities through training, scheduling, communication, and performance feedback.  The fabrication supervisor reports to the operations leader.  This position will be assigned to first shift but is expected to be flexible with the work schedule covering extended hours and/or weekends on occasions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team by working safely, efficiently and effectively.
  • Prioritize metals management, and employee talents to satisfy customer expectations
  • Create, implement, and own standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Develop and maintain employee training plans.
  • Prepare work schedules aligned with production priorities and customer demand.
  • Establish and sustain best practices and safe work practices.
  • Promote a safe work environment and strong safety culture.
  • Communicate business updates, daily operations targets, and customer requests.
  • Monitor, correct, and minimize production interruptions and operational concerns.
  • Provide timely, constructive performance feedback.
  • Reinforce accountability, teamwork, and employee development.
  • Drive continuous improvements in assigned areas.
Education Requirement
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Two or more years of manufacturing/fabrication experience.
  • Two or more years of leadership experience.
  • Skilled in TIG welding preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints preferred.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Ability to develop and lead non-capital improvement projects from start to finish
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and lead through influence
