Position Summary

The CAPEX Analyst is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Manufacturing Finance. The role provides financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and process support for the global portfolio. This position partners with Capital Delivery, Operations, regional Finance teams, and business leaders to improve visibility into capital spending, project performance, risks, and outlook. The analyst owns key monthly reporting and forecasting activities, supports capital governance and project administration, and maintains accurate, efficient tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Capital Planning, Forecasting, and Analysis

  • Develop and maintain financial models and consolidation tools that support operating plans, strategic plans, forecasts, and actual results analysis.
  • Design, maintain, deliver, and own an integrated global financial forecast and analysis model for Original Composites & Fiberglass.
  • Complete global consolidation activities in Workiva, including collecting inputs, validating assumptions, reconciling data, and maintaining reporting integrity.
  • Partner with Capital Delivery leaders, Operations Directors, project teams, and regional Finance teams to understand project activity, forecast changes, risks, opportunities, and required adjustments.
  • Manage capital forecasts to guidance and provide clear analysis of material variances, business drivers, and emerging issues.
  • Support the annual operating plan and longer-range capital planning processes, including establishing and maintaining targets.
  • Support operating plan for NOVI plant (Silentex)

Month-End Reporting and Performance Management

  • Coordinate the monthly capital forecast process and issue forecast files according to the established close calendar.
  • Update actuals and the remaining-year forecast, reconcile results to the consolidation system, and resolve data differences.
  • Prepare timely leadership updates, flash results, and key issue summaries.
  • Deliver regional and business views of capital performance to FP&A and prepare recurring management reporting.
  • Support leadership reviews by providing accurate reporting, clear variance explanations, and decision-ready insights.
  • Maintain appropriate controls and checks to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial and statistical data.
  • Support controlling activities for month end close for NOVI

Capital Governance and Project Administration

  • Create and maintain work breakdown structures and related documentation.
  • Administer capital authorization and approval routing, including monitoring shared request channels, routing requests to approvers, archiving documentation, and communicating final decisions to requestors.
  • Maintain master capital expenditure information, approver records, policies, historical documentation, and supporting records.
  • Monitor ServiceNow requests, research historical tickets, and ensure capital support requests are addressed accurately and on time.
  • Support project change request processes, capital-in-progress reviews, balance sheet reviews, project closeout, and timely intercompany billing.
  • Review open projects and related billings to identify aging items, incomplete documentation, or required follow-up.

Systems, Reporting Tools, and Process Improvement

  • Participate to S4 Hanah sessions to implement Project System Module for CAPEX management
  • Maintain and refresh Power BI reports after forecasting and planning cycles and support reliable publication of reporting applications.
  • Develop and maintain clear process documentation, user guidance, and training materials for capital and reporting processes.
  • Identify process inefficiencies, control gaps, and data-quality issues, and implement practical improvements.
  • Support SAP and other finance-system workstreams by providing business requirements, testing support, data validation, and process expertise.
  • Promote standardized, scalable, and automated reporting and consolidation processes across the global Finance organization.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of experience in FP&A, capital finance, project finance, corporate finance, or a related analytical role.
  • Experience with financial planning, forecasting, consolidation, variance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience developing or maintaining financial models.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to maintain data accuracy and process discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a global manufacturing or capital-intensive organization.
  • Working knowledge of Workiva, SAP, Power BI, ServiceNow, or comparable planning, consolidation, ERP, reporting, and workflow tools.
  • Experience supporting capital expenditure processes, work breakdown structures, project controls, or project closeout.
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or other relevant advanced degree or certification.
