Role Purpose
The Accounting Team Manager is responsible for leading the accounting function to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting for Legal Entity 131 in North America and 163 and 949 in Canada, including their respective subsidiaries.
The role covers core accounting activities, statutory reporting, internal controls, and active support to business decision-making, with accountability for the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of the financial statements and underlying records.
This position ensures full compliance with local statutory requirements, IND Gaap and other applicable group standards, tax regulations, and internal policies, while also driving business performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
From a governance standpoint, the Accounting Team Manager is accountable for statutory compliance and is required to sign the financial statements jointly with the Regional Accounting Leader or designated authority.
The Accounting Team Manager supports the Americas Accounting Team Leader in coordinating operations and processes across all scoped entities, including contributing to global reporting, participating in explanatory calls, and delivering clear and consistent financial communication to stakeholders. In addition, the role plays an active part in global accounting coordination, ensuring alignment with corporate policies, consistency in execution, and high-quality deliverables to headquarters.
The role requires close coordination with regional peers to maintain alignment in accounting practices and ensure standardized execution across the group.
The Accounting Team Manager reports to the Americas Accounting Team Leader and has direct oversight of one full-time employee. Travel requirements are expected to be approximately 10-20%, primarily to support manufacturing locations, build relationships with plant leadership, and participate in key operational and financial reviews at WHQ, as needed.

- Financial Reporting & Close
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial statements. Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews, and ensure alignment between local GAAP and group standards, including consolidation adjustments.
- KPIs
- Monthly close completed within D+3 to D+5, with no material post-close adjustments
- 100% balance sheet reconciliations completed and reviewed monthly
- Annual audited financial statements issued by June 30 (or earlier, in line with statutory and group reporting requirements)
- No material audit adjustments identified by external auditors
- All consolidation adjustments completed accurately and on time

- Business Partnership & Performance
- Act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making. Support planning processes and collaborate cross-functionally with operations, commercial, tax, and treasury teams.
- Serve as a key finance partner to U.S. and Canadian manufacturing locations, providing financial leadership to Plant Controllers and Operations teams. o KPIs

- Support Tax function:
- Provide accounting support for Tax, including income tax and indirect tax reporting. Maintain statutory forecasts and support implementation of tax law changes in systems and processes.
- Provide strong accounting support for U.S. and Canadian corporate income tax matters, including tax provision inputs, current and deferred taxes, account reconciliations, and coordination with internal and external tax specialists. o KPIs
- No tax penalties or late tax submissions
- Ensure timely support for Corporate Income Tax preparation to meet statutory deadlines, with an internal completion target of August 31
- Accurate and timely income tax and VAT/Sales Tax reporting
- Statutory forecasts maintained and aligned with tax planning needs

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or equivalent professional certification is highly desired
- +10 years of relevant experience in accounting, controllership, tax or audit
- Strong knowledge of local GAAP, basic knowledge of US, UK and Indian GAAPs/IFRS, and tax regulations
- Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including direct support to plant operations, is required
- Previous leadership experience
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems; Workiva tool is desirable
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing and cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, overhead absorption, and production variance analysis
- Working knowledge of U.S. corporate income tax accounting and tax provision processes; Canadian income tax exposure is a plus
